Worlds End / Burra

Post by Riverlander »

Quick weekend trip up to Worlds End just out of Burra. Even with the dry year still a pretty spot with a lot of bird life and heaps of kangaroos. Apart from a couple of walks up the creek which surprisingly had some water flowing in it and a walk to the top of a hill to get phone reception there is not much to do except chill out with a wine or two. Would be good to see with a good flow down the creek.
Cheers John

Always liked Burra Gorge ( worlds end ) and stopped there quite a few times having a "break" while we travelled S.A.
The walk to the top of the Gorge when it takes a right turn can be a bit if a challenge , but we seem to do it each time we're there

About 30 campers over 2klm. of creek campground when we were there. Camping area at Chrystal Brook is called Bowman Park. Quite a good spot with some buildings and garden area to wander around in. 4 vans when we camped there. I think if you lost a pussy at either place it would never be seen again. Cheers John

Two trips through South Aussie in the last 18 months and still didn’t get to see this place.

On my list of places to see so one day.

Must say though... most impressed wiff the job in hand that the boy did...!!!

Cant see any wires in the humpy, all hidden in nooks and crannies, the box of discusting spagetti wires from Avoida have been chucked and replaced in an order that would make the Post Master General happy... :D :P

All the gauges and stuff all in the same spot as stock one, thought they were gunna be in a cupboard for a minute there... , but nuh... :P

And Margret put the phone app tingo in me phone, I am havin great fun pluggin in the 240 for the 3 way fridge, lettin it run , then pullin the plug and seein what the solar side does, all from the comfort of the the house I’m rentin...

Must say, my little faux pas the other day tryin this in the wheeled humpy...

I pulled the 240 out of her, BEEEEEEP... :o

Run inside...??? WTF...??? Press this ,press that... BEEEEEEEP...!!!

Then dickhead remembers you have to limit how much juice ya use at the same time ....FFS...!!! I had the fridge on and the water heater on 70 dec mode at the same time, and lights, the new flash fanmaxx etc...

Turned off the water heater and all good.

Still lotsa learn but seems pretty goof proof
