Ran into a new issue last night, projecta IC5000 set to trickle @ 6 amps, just maintaining.
Had an alarm due to not fully charging after some hours, fair enough.
Now I could have set a higher input and this or that to ensure the alarm did not occur, thats not really the issue.
I ended up unplugging for a minute to reset, no issue there -except of course I am butt naked at 3 in the morning.
But pushing any number of button combinations on the remote panel did not seem to over-ride or reset or silence the alarm. There is nothing regarding cancelling the alarm in the manual either. Hmmmm.
Does anyone know how to kill an alarm from the remote panel?

Set the battery type to power supply. It will then put out up to 50 amps and cycle back to 0 amps as required to maintain the 13.8v at the battery.
If you are charging lithium batteries, why do you want to trickle charge them in the first place? Lithium batteries don't like being held at a fully charged voltage for long periods. Float charging during the day and a load over night is fine, but not holding the battery at 13.8v 24/7, you are asking for an out of balance problem to occur that wouldn't occur otherwise.
The Projecta IC range can be modified to sense an external voltage source and this is part of the reason we prefer to use these chargers, the other is their reliability. We use this to control the charger by sending an higher voltage to the sensing wires if a cell exceeds 3.6v and the length of time the charger sees this higher voltage and stops charging can be adjusted from 10 secs to 1 hr. This false higher voltage tricks the charger into believing it has reached the required voltage and stops charging until it sees a lower voltage.

not lithiums, A(ancient)G(gas emitting)M(masses) in a declining state. I dont really need the power but have currently the charger hooked up as a xmas bonus. Dont really care if it puts in or not (although its nice too see the gauge always at %100 but its nice to have 240vac hot water
The interesting thing is that you cannot cancel an alarm from the remote control, you have to pull the plug.
Confirmed by the makers. Just FYI, no biggie
