Just waiting for Bandits foot to pass the vet check and we are off for a short trip somewhere southish.
I have been spending a bit of time clearing out stuff from the work emails.
It still feels a little weird knowing that I don't have to return to work unless I choose to.But I'm sure that I will get used to it!

Re: Crazy facts that may be true
...And the cross-bar on a lower-case 't' is called a 'jot'.3. The dot over the letter "i" is called a tittle.
Hence the expression "Every jot and tittle" when referring to a job done thoroughly. The modern equivalent is to "Dot the 'i's and cross the 't's"... or as some wag put it, "Cross the 'i's and dot the 't's."

BTW, the terms 'UPPER CASE' and 'lower case' hark back to the earliest days of typesetting movable type with individual letters carved in wood, an idea brought to Europe in 1450 by Johannes Gutenberg. He adapted the process to use cast metal letters.
(The Chinese had been using porcelain movable type since about 1040, and the Koreans from about 1300.)
The CAPITAL letters were stored in a racked box (or case) with about 48 compartments (to hold letters, numbers and ornaments called 'sorts' or more recently 'dingbats'),
and below them on the rack was an identical compartmented box/case carrying the small letters, numbers and other dingbats.
There. Now isn't that interesting? Hmmmm?
(Apologies to Looney Toons for stealing that last line from their 'Bugs Bunny Meets a Martian' cartoon...
