Re: Wasted Career?
Actually, we have to pay for it. Note the price ($1.50) in top right corner.
(I didn’t. Picked up at local pharmacy.)

Re: Wasted Career?
What really bugs me is when a "journalist”, tv presenter etc uses “I” when they should use “me” and uses "me" when they should be using “I”: most seamingly intelligent people haven’t a clue.

Agree Sterling,
And by the way, it’s ‘seemingly’.
See? Still working. Just not being paid for it.

I am most annoyed by the increasing use of "the reason why" when the reason is why.

If you really want to get p**d off by bad grammar, then all that is required is for you to watch the dribble that is scrolled across most of our TV stations news feeds. Doesn't matter which station. None of them can spell very well.
SWMBO and myself comment about it almost every morning.

Re: Wasted Career?
I watched an hour of morning TV ... once.
I get my fair share of aggravation just watching the crawlers on the nightly news.
Even some of the ads have glaring spelling mistakes!
Don’t know who checks them these days. When I worked in an agency, two senior writers checked all work. And they checked each other’s work with a backup writer.
