Too damned hot

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Too damned hot

Post by Grandad »

40° yesterday.
38* today and 45° tomorrow.

It's official.

I'm over it.

What's happening in other parts of the country?
Who has some sane temperatures to report?

Yesterday it was 37c whilst the tradies were removing all the windows/external doors from the house... phew, the bloody house was like an oven. When all the new windows were in the house was closed up again & the AC turned on....ahhhh, so much better within 5 mins. Unfortunately they didn't fit the fly screens so had to leave the house closed up over night.

This morning it was a lovely cool18c so all was opened up again but with the temp tending to reach 44c here today it got closed up again within an hour. At the moment it is 38c & still climbing - offered a cool relaxing area for the boys if they need a break but all agreed if the stop work & cool down they won't want to start again.

Engel in the garage is full of cold bottles of water & bottom shelf of fridge full of stubbies for when they finish later today.

38 degrees & sunny, Lake Macquarie, NSW, actually very hazy, think most of it is still smoke from the fires.

40.5c at Adelaide airport the official weather station here which makes it about 43/44c at home. Did shopping earlier and glad to be home but have to go to post office when the wife gets home.

Stay cool folks and do not forget the water. Robert

Wow, the smoke is so thick blowing from the fires south that we can't even see the other side of the lake, temperature 39.
