Just plain bloody HOT!!

Knew we were in for a hot one today, but figured that last Saturday's was going to take some beating!

Bloody hell!

This morning at 0730 it was 28c outside but a pleasant 20c inside the van - yep we'd had the A/C on all night... very nice too.

1000 & 36c out - 26c in the van - air still on.

By 1200 40c out - 29c in the van.... we moved into the house & the big A/C.

By 1400 43c out - 30c in the van.

At 1600 it was 46.8c outside & 33c in the van.

At 1700 45c - 33c in the van.

Enough is enough!!!

Was hot here an Maldon but not as hot as yesterday.
Might have to move to water next week. Looking at moving north a bit. Perhaps Ayson's reserve or Tocomwall on the Murray so I can get in the water and wet the dinghy/
Work all done at the railways for a while so will mope around till after Easter for a while then head to SA for Winter.

I honestly think it's time for some of the national parks & other places to allow bull dozers in.
Years ago the roadsides were kept 'under control' to help prevent animal collisions & to provide a firebreak in case of a fire. It's the other way around now. Fire hazard & animal hazard. Guess who pays the price for both?

And also re open the Alpine high country area in Gippsland, some of which is burning now to cattle grazing, at least the cattle kept the fuel load down, and very few fires there when they were allowed to graze either.

Talking to a lady today that went down to the beach yesterday afternoon, she said there was NO breeze what so ever coming off the water, She said it was the most weird and horrible day she has known for years..

Better brace yourself Chuck, the southerly is on it's way. Came through here about 6pm blowing a gale, it's calmed down now and the temp has dropped from 45c down to 31C, it's actually quite pleasant. It was so hot today the digital things stopped reading, the screens went black and the little temp gauge i have in the car went off scale and read 88.8E. When the air con finally brought it back to life after 5 mins driving it read 44.5C. It finally dropped to 41.5C by the time i parked in the undercover ca rpark, I thought, well it can't be that much hotter outside, oh how wrong I was
The shopping centre aircon was battling, the hot wind blowing in through the door could be felt all the way down at the food court1 level and the length of the shopping centre away, i had to walk out that door and across a 4 lane raod and 2 car parks to get to where I had to go, I can not believe how hot that wind was, incredible.
