Had to take the lap top to puter doctor. It got very sick and kept going blue. What I wohld like to know is why do they do these silly things when you actually need to do someting important with them. Absolute pain in the rectum. All functioned ok till I went to go on the net, the n whammo blue screen of death. Puter doctor saw it happen and hopefully can fix. tomorrow.
This using phone is not good for eyesight or patience.

Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Re: Lap top sick
Toshiba Peter?
I don't know if it's the new flu going around or what but I've had 3 Toshiba's go blue in the last week.
Ran the drive tests over them and all show up as "unsuitable".
2 are RMA jobs. (warranty) One is for stray cats.
Keep in touch and tell me the diagnosis please?
I wish everyone would turn their machines upside down and record the product key in their little black book.

Update, looks like something on motherboard drives came up good. Common on Toshiba apparently. Still will be cheaper to fix than buy new. equivalent in new models are $2800.00.

Well the putber man called, all drives ok. Now for the bad bit. One of the disc controllers chucked a wobbly. All well and good replace it. Not possible they are only 2 mm square so out comes the motherboard in goes a new one. This is or has been a common issue with Toshiba laptops. So I get it back on Wednesday in exchange for $289.00

Re: Lap top sick
Peter it really sounds like the same HD issues I've been seeing.
Thought it may have been the hard drive.
Download & run Seatools on it using the short drive tests.
I usually pull out the HD & hook it to my main computer for testing.
I hope you burnt those backup DVD's when you first bought it?
What model is it?
