We've had this visiting yacht staying in our bay for the last couple of weeks, flys the red ensign so should be a registered yacht.

after saying all that way, why not go the 20 meters to reach dry land?

Probably owing to the depth of the keel, he wouldn't be able to come into shore, he does zoom around in a rubber duck.
