To everyone, I say a very humble thank you for your wishes!
To Mr Coolabah1au I do hope you have a great week/day/week of Birthday celebrations!
Dot darling, me behave?
Bruce, I'm not a attention seeker so birthdays normally pass quietly, but not this one.
It started by;
.My lovely fiancée Gina(who is based at another coal mining facility), setting her alarm for 1201am, to be the first to wish me HB.
.At the 12.30am pre start meeting there was a maroon-ish colour(pink) birthday cake the chef actually made(not just slab cake cut to a size and iced). Why maroon-ish? I'm from NSW so yes a NRL or rugby league joke.
.Then after shift, LET'S go to Moranbah for lunch!!
Several glasses of red wine(I Know because the bottle was stuck in front of me

)with steak/seafood, a few beers to wash that down and a Turkey sandwich for the trip home (Wild Turkey in a bottle). OF course my arm was twisted to be made to eat and Drink.
.1230am 15/11 at all pre starts we draw a marble from a bag. One in 10 chances of drawing the white marble(Drug and Alcohol Test)
YES!!!

ladies and gentlemen yours truly picked the white marble.
WE have to read "0" so it was with great trepidation that I went off to do the test.(Which is conducted separately in the first aid room)
Felt great in my self but would it be "0" mmmm
We have a room that has ice cube machines in it. In a corner there is a breath analysis machine for everybody on site that may wish to test sort of privately.
So just before the pre start started I quickly went and did a private test. Blow then wait, wait, wait, waiting, mmmm. This wall machine is supposed to be better than the hand held one in the first aid room!!
Back to prestart, done. Prestart stretches, done. Now to THE drug and alcohol test, hands now shacking slightly. Darn hard to write your name etc on the forms I can tell you!! Looked a bit like a old rooster scratches.
Slurp all over the sponge stick for the drug test (mouth had dried up, wonder why), 10 minutes later it was in its container and reacting with the chemicals. Was not worried about that test!
Now Wayne "Blow into this at a constant pace until I say Stop"
Ever looked at a screen for what seems like 10 minutes but is truly only 10 seconds or so!
0.000 YES
YES Wayne you can go back to work, Hope you had a great birthday yesterday!
ME: yer mate had a good time, obversely didn't over do it!
Bruce mate; yes I Had A memorable one!
Dot: cause I behaved, just because my 61 year old liver must have turbo charged itself I DO NOT Want to do this on my 62nd birthday!
ow we do over do it sometimes when we still feel so young!!
