There's always this way to go, which means you don't have to use your own power and never have to worry about heating and cooling, as their systems are reverse cycle, so you can use them to warm the bus/home in winter and they offer hybrid systems you can run on solar during the day and battery power at night. Pretty neat setup and one which will save lots of money in the long run, as well as not effecting your lifepo4 power system.

"We are the only suppliers of Air Conditioners that can operate just from solar panel power without grid power or batteries! Made for Australian conditions and Australian standard."
I reckon this is the mob that contacted us late last yr to find out how we made RV air con run from batteries and solar
You can't power an air con from solar unless you have more solar than the maximum load demand ..... and what about when the clouds drift over the the sun for a few mins?
Wayne, as long as the inverter is pure sinewave, nothing else required. Just watch the Victron BMV so you know when you need to turn the air con off so you still have enough battery to get through the night ... but that's about it. We fit a lot of system for people who what to do exactly what you are suggesting and discover they can get a lot more than a few hrs air con running as long as the sun is shining. The Swagman we are doing at the moment just had 2 new rooftop rattlers installed, the inverter type, and we are installing solar, batteries and inverters to run them as well as all the other 240vac stuff they have. We did their brand new 5 bedroom "holiday house" a few yrs back and discovered what we told them about "swampy" air coolers was correct, they use a lot more power than a modern inverter air conditioner does ... so they had a split system installed in the "holiday house" and it works so well they decided that was the way to go with the Swagman ....
This house is a long way from the grid so it had to be 100% offgrid, just like an RV really, but no option to plug in an extension cord
