Seriously, do you really think fuel companies and internal combustion engine manufacturers would be supporting a push to electric vehicles ....... I can understand battery manufacturers and copper suppliers along with lithium miners and processors supporting fuel price rises, but the petroleum industry can see the writing on the wall that their future sales will fall no matter what happens now, so best to get the $$ while electric vehicle production can't keep up with demand, no hope afterwards because the switch will already be in full swing.
