Woo Hoo, Its raining

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Well I tried out the new $1,000 A/C today & gave myself goosebumps!!!
We had 16 drops of hot water fall so far & it's a bit muggy here still.
Sky is looking a bit dark towards Strath but that might just be Dot's mood showing!!!

The wet has started here in NQ. 140mm overnight at our place near the Cardwell Range and lots more on the way. That makes 360mm for the month so far. Creeks raging, tanks overflowing but at least the grass slows down a bit while its raining, now just to wait for it to stop and get a bit of sunshine on it then I'll be busy on the slasher :(

I've been trying to get some grass to grow where the vehicles were parked for so long that nothing but bare earth was showing. Planted grass that had grow in the garden, runners trimmed from paths were planted, watered regularly, it was coming good. The few hot days fried it, the rest of the lawn appears to have died and patches of grey sand are showing through in a lot of places. Seems the grass changed during the wet few years and it wasn't ready for the hot days. Out on a walk last night and all the previously manicured green nature strips are all brown dead grass, well at least it's not just us that copped it. We have had a lot of heavy cloud cover periods, but virtually no rain, hope this isn't a sign of what's to come.

Getting grass to grow isn't a problem up here, getting it to stop growing is!!! I hope what you are getting isn't a sign of what may come too, we have had another 120mm today since 0900. We were going to Cairns tomorrow but somehow I think we may be staying put

I found a great way to stop it growing. :D

I just bought a ride on mower and the grass hasn't grown an inch since I got it.

Of course, it's got nothing to do with the fact that the bloody sun has turned it brown.
Haven't even got to use the stubbie holder yet.

Alan you got ripped off mate!
First you need an engine in it & then you need a steering wheel or is it horse-drawn?
