An interesting article, note how littered the near earth orbit has become that probably lead to Elon making the bigger units design to orbit in a higher region .... will the eventually make it difficult if not impossible to travel through this field of debris to actually leave orbit?

It will certainly stop any competitors put their communications satellites into the region ....

A person may fail many times, they only become a failure when they blame someone else John Burrows

Re: How fast has starlink littered the near Earth orbit
Typical insanity of ideological humanity, never consider the future consequences of their self centered actions. Once the chain reaction starts after a small collision of satellites or space junk, it will probably wipe out the majority of orbiting objects creating more debris and stopping the launching of more debris.
We've just about put the final nail if the coffin of life on earth because of our senseless self centered approach to the future, might as well finish the job by polluting the surrounds of the planet to the point of saturation. Every rocket launch leaves more junk in orbit and they have no plans for redundant satellites and launch junk already flying round earth, just launch more junk and put ideological blinkers on in the hope the inevitable outcome will go away.
