Hi, all.
Just reflecting on the two week shakedown cruise in the Talvor last year, it was customary for me, when seeing a "Dogs must be on a lead" sign on a beach, to hook the dogs, Monty, who's no longer with us, and Steffie onto a double-ended lead and let them go, knowing they wouldn't travel far before wrapping themselves around a surf fisherman or a bunch of kids.
So we're at Lennox Head, where the dogs elected to run either side of a very pleasant lass, only 3 decades younger than myself. Chatted with her for a while, then, tongue firmly in cheek, asked if she was married. If the answer was yes, my response would have been to tell her I was too - we have so much in common. Out of the blue her walking buddy, who bore a strong resemblance to Big Julia Gillard, replied. "Yes she is. To me. For life. And besides you have all the wrong bits. And the dog friendly area of the beach stops right here. Goodbye."
I'm still thinking of a response...

A person may fail many times, they only become a failure when they blame someone else John Burrows
