Driveway is fine, we are about 2km off the highway near the base of the Cardwell Range. It is bitumen all the way except for the last 400m

Interested to find out how the Bushpower goes. I have a 3ui Honda Inverter but wouldn't mind a smaller one as back up for short trips

Wilbor - the driveway sounds good, but at my speed It'll take a while to get there.
We considered the 2kva, but it would mean an enclosure at the back which would be a pain in the b.. , noisy and illegal to operate. Maybe a roof rack on Dimples.

Worked for me Terry. Would like comment on the battery pack demo at the tail end of 1kVA gen set video please, so have another go HERE.

I remember this mob from way back when they advocated (and seems they still do) running Waeco type compressor fridges off batteries for about a week and then charging the batteries with a 1kVA generator for three or four hours. Probably a setup more suitable for caravans and/or tent/camper trailer users as it's all portable.

Can someone please remind me how to post a link to a website and use one word to describe it like has been done here I did know how to do it but that was days ago

Remove the ] and replace with =, add a ] and the word you wish to use. You can colour the link if you like.

Have a look at the task bar immediately above the "reply" message box - that is the one I am presently in while typing this response. You will see some editing short cuts starting with "B" for bolding emphasis "i" for italics etc and finally "URL" for inserting hyperlinks. However, for reasons unknown to me the requisite "=" is left off [url=][/url] and will not work without it. Now if it were there, all that would be required is for you to cut-n-paste the url directly after the equal sign instead of having to add it manually.

If successful, it will be a forum first as I've never seen it included in any others.

Maybe has something to do with the equal sign signifying a code command and therefore not allowed.

Lesley, the = thingy is used to replace the long web address with a single word or phrase. Have a close look at George and Dawgs post
