Got this pitiful ph call this morning saying "I can come home" we all looked at each other and growned "Oh no not already" so G & Christine slowly drove down and bought him home.. Off he went out the back to unpack his newly delivered genny and later today a water tank was delivered but we had no time to dally about we had an appointment for us all to have a haircut so off we all went. Norman got a #2 , Christine had a tidy up trim, G had a cut and polish with a few stray hairs trimmed and I had the usual dyke cut. To late to do anything else we came home for a cuppa and G went back out to do a bit more screwing and drilling Norman went for a lay down while Christine and I decided to have bacon butties for tea and now we are sitting watching the idiot box and killer fish Now time for another cuppa. Geezzz it is cold now Have a Q/ for you lot? do you get a bit of a laugh at the A-Z of N know what?? And what about the new pope? will he have different coloured shoes?

Hey Dot, give George our best, and it looks like he's had a bit of a rough ride eh?
Hope all's well with you guys now?
We are still waiting for the van to be finished...the area for the armchairs is done and they reckon it looks good...but the niggly little things have yet to be finished. What we didn't consider is that the chairs are lower than normal dining chairs so the fold out table is higher for eating...I guess the answer would be a cushion!
We asked about the leather cushions from the L shaped lounge and hopefully they haven't chucked 'em. Have to find a way to get them to you!
The houseboat lifestyle is great...if I could find a way to reduce the size of my photos on the iPad I would post a few....and the people we were going to house sit for are real nice, and they haven't left cos the husband who was the baker for Waikerie for 40 years, isn't taking too well to enforced retirement, and is suffering weird reactions from the drugs the local quack is giving him for depression, ...hes also in pain having had shoulder surgery...RSI ...(guess who did it) ....his shoulders are wrecked....he's anxious about leaving the house, even for a short run out...and they have a beaut caravan that's only been used once. We met up with a few of his mates, all pistachio, almonds, peach, apricot growers, and they are ALL on anti-depressants! So we are staying here just in case they can " take off" ....Hope to get on the road again mid April.
Putting this on here cos I am wondering if others are on or have been on anti-depressants and if they got wierd reactions. It may be that this guy is just not coping with sudden lack of work after 40 years 24/7 14-16 hours a day (night actually). Also, he was very popular, people chatted to him all the time, and now he seems to have very few 'real' friends. He and Greg get on real well...we're going up to their house tonight for emu (road kill) stew, followed by their famous apricot slices with icecream...
Greg's also been asked to shoot a heap of rabbits etc on a nearby station...he's also knackered himself doing two nights work driving a tractor when a local vineyard was harvesting....$20 an hour to be knackered for two days...hmmmm
Miss you guys and the many blowins that frequent your establishment!
Dot, By the looks of the last few photo you have posted, nobody does anything but sleep at your place. Is it something you put in the water or is it just because the weather has changed and now it is good sleeping weather
Cheers

If it is stuff like Zoloft (tm), then personally I would gradually reduce it until eliminated and just be grateful I was still alive - but then I'm not qualified to prescribe and/or *practice medicine, so you're on your own regarding this observation. Just my thoughts.
dawg (*let's face it, that's all they do - PRACTICE on us)
Experience is a wonderful thing. It helps you recognise a mistake when repeated.
David, G is out working in the "Rams Van" The ram is sitting opposite me with his computer because he has been told to sit down and put his crappy leg up and to have a glass of water. I have the op shop today Dee, Tell your friend to see a proper Dr when it comes to anti depressants.... Usually symptoms can linger for some weeks till you get them into your system and some you just aren't suited to at all... Trial & error.. He needs to be kept busy for a while.. Why doesn't he go into town and sit and have a coffee where he is likely to meet up with more people ke knew?? Re the seats, dear sweet Greg said he told the people to keep them anyway they shouldn't chuck stuff away because it belongs to you,, We have to pick the bus up from Burton if that is near?? With the seats and table difference I know our seats (stressless) make a booster ring thingy to go under the swivel part. But G made our table to fit the height of the seats, surely your mob could do that as well?? Beautiful weather today not at all tiring yet x
