Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Jd thanks for that info on mowers he can look at those. Only a very grassed area these days turned most of the lawn into gardens so current lawn only about 90sq mts, only takes 10 minutes to mow
T1 smart ass and you also will keep.
No gardening for me today, just 2 loads of washing, restocking some bus stuff, and loaded the dishwasher. :D How was that Deborah? The cleaning lady is coming 9am 8-) so I have to be up early
G has been in the bus today doing some little jobs that have been waiting for him to be better. The silicon in places is turning yellow so what to use or do to fix that? Got to get some of the filter material for the bus aircons and a general clean up throughout should get us ready for Easter  Spoke to Dee today and she says they are still having very heavy rain but are safe. Hows your holiday going Bernie? have you changed that flat tyre yet. Off to the shower then bed so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Robert n Bob x :D

Sorry Dot, I forgot to say our battery mower is a makita. Our grandson has a weekend job at the hammer shop and often brings home things that are marked down, due to ripped boxes etc. He has supplied us with all of our makita tools, and all at very close to cost price. He works in the tool shop and says they never get returned makita like the rest of the brands and that's what he buys for us (using our money of course). Good slowly doing the gardens mate, well done. xxxx

We had a five minute storm earlier today, just enough to bring the mozzies out.

I was rudely awoken this morning by one of our GP's practice nurses. His nibs is due a free health check up, done at home, so he and she booked it in for 10:30 AbloodyM tomorrow. I rushed around collecting all the extra spare drugs that I have collected, that she doesn't need to know about. Then we both did a quick tidy and clean. That was enough for the morning.

After lunch we decided to do our monthly big ww shop. The fridge list was getting a bit long, so it was time to claim my ten percent discount. The only thing that I couldn't find was capers, so no big problem. I even managed to spoil us with some fresh prawns (yes well, fresh thawed would be more truthful). I have been lusting after a decent prawn meal for a while. That was a delicious prawn salad and we felt like our prawn yearnings have been sated. $15 for 1/2 kg of prawns was a bit steep, but they were delicious.

Stay safe wherever you are,

Dot, I have a Ryobi 18" battery/electric which is the worst mower I have ever had. In order to cut the grass short and adjusting the level to do so, the body drags along the uncut grass making it very difficult to push. If I were you I would give Ryobi a miss.

I also have a Stihl battery/electric edge trimmer, model FSA-30, which I find useless.

Thanks NC George, heading to the green shed tomorrow so shall see what they say about the different ones and wonder if they will flog the Ryobi.  I was up early with eyeballs hanging on my slippers. The home care lady turned up on time and we spent the 2 hrs allotted talking now I know her life story. She asked me what vac do I have? what mop do I have and cleaning cloths, Showed her the dyson vac and told her we ended up getting a little stick vac but nothing flash, she will use that. :? Then the steam mop is no good they leave the floors wet. I have a string mop but that would be a no no. :D
But lately I chucked a towel in the water and G wrings it out then I shuffle around the floor da da floor sort of done (not) To cut to the chase she said she cant use the vac because they are heavy (on wheels) then I asked what she would use to do the tiled areas? she replied the most pref thing was the spin mop thing (Vileda) and for cleaning the colour coded cloths. And would you believe they do not clean the inside of cupboards, micro wave, oven etc but they do wipe over the outsides of those things and of course bench tops. So what is the point? I still have to get down on my hands and knees to clean the lower cupboards then I cant get up again Tonight I got shitty with what they don't do esp the cupboards so I got down on the floor took everything out and dam well cleaned them myself. I have now got 4 big boxes of crockery and small things like toaster, jug, saucepans and other hardly used items for the fire victims Now all the stuff I kept is now in the higher shelves Yet they will clean your toilet and change your sheets??? I will clean my own toilet thanks. and they only will clean 1 loo. Have been given another name of a company so G will do some reading on the website plus he will give them a ring Not happy Jan. End of Rant, so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Tanks x :D Stay dry up Nth or the Ocean road area and wet if in the fire areas but be safe .

Dot, definitely dump that cleaner, she sounds useless. My hard floors get mopped regularly. I bought some of those lumpy sock things that are made to wear on your feet to clean the floor. Evil bay is where I bought them. They get put onto a flat moppy thing that was using disposable cloths. A friend calls it a swiffer, but I don't really know it's name. Wet the sock with soapy water, ring it out, put it on the mop and do the floors. No scrubbing needed. It took me a long time to get his lordship to actually vac the hard floors before he mopped (on those rare occasions that he does mop). Hope that explanation was clearer than mud. Rest day tomorrow xxxx

Our roof plumber and tiler came back today. They replaced the missing sarking and our old mate had made up a tray to fit where they found a puddle of water and a drain to get the water out of the roof. The tiles were removed the other day and not returned to exactly the same positions. This morning after a bit of overnight rain, there was more water in the puddle. They dropped some water around the puddle and the dust was so thick that it left a trail. They really don't know where the water is coming from. Tonight we had a doozy storm and there were a few drops still coming into the house. As we have predicted rain for a few days, we will let it settle for then and will have to get tweedle dee and tweedle dum back later next week.

The nurse visit was just a long waste of time. We have a free appointment with our Gp in a few weeks to discuss this visit. Once she left, I went into a frenzy returning all of the packets of drugs to their correct spots. I even found some out of date ones and disposed of them too. Now a few spaces in the drug cupboard, but that's ok. I have to get scripts filled tomorrow. ;)

night all xxx

Morning when we had our inspection for assistance the lady said we were better off doing what we are as the cleaners they send do only the basic stuff and our cleaner does everything at a good price. My gardener is retired and does a bit for extra so minimum mowing out the back and weeding. Even does repairs on the van I can not do.

Morning Dot let me know where you get the AC filter from as I need some to block the dust from the fridge vents cheers.
