What a clever lad he is, one of the half finished bridges and a half finished tunnel that was to be the Maldon to Dombarton link. This rail link would have taken a lot of the trucks off the Mt Ousley Rd and Wilton Rds as it would have linked the main rail line to the Port Kembla coal loader and Grain terminal as well as the Car and truck roll on roll off warf. The fact that the state govt had already been given the money to complete it but instead used the money else where and nick Griener cancelled it was the controversy. The money side of it was the final end to the Whitlam govt, Rex Connor, the local member, had arranged the loan through Khemlani but lied about it in parliament, he was dissmised and replaced by Paul Keating.
