This tree had to go, it had some disease but the wood shall be next yrs heat and the mulch will do the garden nicely.. The tree men were here at 10am and left at 2.30pm. They cleaned up another dozen or so strappy trees and mulched them as well.. Cost was $400, good deal I'd say, over a ton of wood currently selling at $310t and a few trailers of mulch I'd say we got out moneys worth good and proper. He even cut the wood into fire size lengths :D
What's all the green stuff in the foreground of the first photo, did you get carpet grass layed  The poor tree, that offered some lovely shade for or solar panels while we there, they'll get toasted in bright sun now 8-)

Gee, how lucky are you. Last time we had two trees cut down the price was $5000 and they took all of the wood n mulch away with them. Admittedly, they were very big trees. The mulch truck had to leave and return empty several times before the job was finished. Pretty spectacular stuff with a crane to lift the trunk out over the little house.
Oh well Dotty, now you can have some more sunshine in the yard, nice one.

Wrong tree Terry, this one was right down the back corner, the others are still there waiting for you.. It is raining nice and gently now so that shall keep that feral green stuff growing for a while. G is adjusting a couple of new blinds to put up in the visitors bathroom and our ensuite, those stupid mini venetians are so impossible to clean. Seems strange not having to go to the op shop today Oh well much safer at home. :D

Trina wants to know where you planted the daffodils so she can have an 'out of body experience' & visualise them... also are the strawberries still growing?

Planted the daffs in clumps of 2-4 hodge podge throughout the house garden (where the roses are.) and yes the strawberries are still growing nicely. (for now) :) cherry trees are starting to bud up as well.. So while we are on the garden theme can anyone give any insight into what bug is having a feast of the frangapani leaves? can't see anything on or under the leaves..

Looks like the invisible leaf eating grasshopper is at your place Dot. It will be hiding somewhere, if you wait patiently you will eventually see it move. Then get Gman to send it on to a happy place.

Who watched "The saga of Alf Garnett" last night?? The best laugh ever in soooo long  there was something for everyone with a sense of humour but not for the BS of the PC brigade, there was coons, Irish catholic twats, nig nogs, long haired gits, drug use  , and all the other things that were just good old fun way back when. I bet the good old PC people didn't realise what Alf was about when they programmed that on for viewing but I must thank them for not knowing their BS PC jobs, bring back Alf  and the everyday digging at each other I even thought it was funnier than Mrs Brown, mainly because it got through the BS of todays doooo gooders..
