Sorry for the late response, kiddies...
Been out socialising & consequently flat-out packing when home.
YES, Dot & Supersparky Dave were right.
It IS the Maryborough Railway Station.
As for the new pic, :? I have no idea what or where...

I reckon Dawg has the right idea... convert it to a still! :D

Dot, It is in Qld,
Brad , It is not a still, and believe it or not I do remember that conversation. My mate still has his.
Shirley, It does have fire bricks but it is not a kiln.

How about a machine used for road building (tar laying) :?

It is a road making machine , the fire box heat the fire bricks which is dragged over the formed up earthen road and the heat dries all the moisture from the earth. Sort of like drying bricks.
