Re: Banal .. Open to any topic on and off topics etc
Just after G did his back and I had my bit of an op(October 2013) we were offered some home assistance so we were asked what we needed help with.. The one thing that neither of us can do yet is the windows. Yesterday the lady from the council run scheme rang to ask again what we needed help with, again I said the windows. She then said they don't do windows due to safety reasons
I was dumbstruck so I said that is silly, she said she would ring back after she had spoken to her supervisor. She did call back today. In the meantime I rang the OH&S people and asked if it was a safety issue to clean windows in a one storied normal home? "Only if you are required to stand on steps" when the council lady rang back I told he of my enquiry to OH&S so then she said but we can get someone to clean your gutters out??? told her not to bother and hung up WTF is the matter with some people? Guess we just wait till G gets the ok to do windows.. another 3 mths won't hurt.

Dot, I am not sure what George is able to do but have you tried Glitz on your windows? It's available from Bunnings and you attach your hose to the nozzle of the container which sprays a measured amount of the cleaner with water onto the windows and then you rinse off with plain water. It's far from perfect but gives a reasonable result.

With Glitz it's just a matter of aiming and firing. So if he can hold and fire the container all will be good. As I said, it's not perfect but gives a reasonable result for minimal effort. I'm all for minimal effort!!
