Men!!! had a nice evening by the camp fire disposing of medical and legal papers. Had tea out there as well, Chuck cooked chicken mignon's and we did Blueberry Danish and custard for pudding. Our little doggie friend went home today after 2 weeks of hogging the pillows at night, miss the sweet little girl already. Time for those fly over pills soon
I might take to hiring out Catriana seeing as she handled the ride on with ease..
Chuck did a sterling job of poking the fire and G did a good job of covering the fire when we came inside..

Instead of heading up here we nearly did the detour to Strath but reckoned that should let you rest up "old girl". All seems to be going well. Love from us

The G man has done my dressing and now has gone to the kindergarten with heaps of assorted lids for the kids to make things from and the doorbell rang and there was the ever smiling delivery man. He handed me a box and when I opened it it was full of my fav nibbles and a new chocolate block from NZ. Thank you Norman & Christine, I don't think I shall tell Chuck just might show him the empty wrappers

We must get better treatment over here in NSWDot wrote:The G man has done my dressing
I have been home for a week now from my week in hospital and they have organised a nurse to come to our home every 2 days to do the dressing.

They probably wouldn't be doing it if you'd burnt your bridges.

The prize goes to Russell, didn't think you lot were paying attention
Bob all I can say is Nurses are NOT what they were. As I have stated in my letter to the hosp (plus other institutions) the place was like an assembly line. They failed in their "Duty Of Care". RDNS does not operate in this area, I was going to the "wound nurse" at the clinic when it was being dressed twice a day but as all things now weekends are not worked so G was the next best thing.. (he was better than the people in the hosp)

Really sorry you had such a bad experience Dot.
For myself I could not fault the treatment I had from the nursing staff. Nepean Hospital in far western suburbs of Sydney. The home nurses here also work 7days a week as they are coming on Saturday this week because of a doctors appointment on Friday. And best of all, none of this has cost me 1 cent.
Sorry, none of this makes you feel any better.
Hope you get well and return to "normal duties" as soon as possible.

Bob, it really does depend a lot on where you live. So glad for you that you have had excellent care. We too have experienced the Western Suburbs finest care and really do miss it when things go wrong.
The Central Coast is not always a good place to get sick. We have had to wait months to get in to see specialists, weeks just to get into our gp (unless very serious, then its another story, they will help you a bit more then) and the aftercare for wounds is very haphazard. They may or may not come when asked and really they don't want to touch the patient at all. So the care is very poor here.
We didn't realise how different the medical care would be by moving up the coastline by an hour! We still returned to Blacktown to see our doctors for a while until the good ones retired, so then we had to bite the bullet, and it is hit n miss just what quality of care you do or don't receive!
Keep on getting better Dot and Bob
