Re: Banal .. Open to any topic on and off topics etc
Interesting day yesterday when I went for the 2 wk check up. The specialist told me he had seen another one of his patients earlier in the day and she had given him a copy of her experience in the same ward as me. I had told him my feelings on my stay when I say him last week. Interesting indeed. He wants my experience in writing as well.

Why is this forum saying that my last visit was Tues May 13th when I have done a post since then.
Time is passing too quickly so live life to the full with your spouse/partner while you still have she/he by your side.

reversing brakes, banging, clanging, cranes, ground scraping things, trucks and all types of machine noises happening around at the high school (near by) starts at 8am and finishes at 5pm. I walk around the yard going beep beep beep. Progress they say. Some of you may remember I was asking about my Frangipani leaves being eaten at night, never get any flowers etc so yesterday arvo I put a plastic bag over the remaining leaves and sealed the bag around the stems with sticky tape, seems it stopped what ever it was so will do it again tonight.. No David, it is not the invisible leaf eater.
But what ever it is it does it under the cover of night.

Don't think I would want to work for Mr Khol if that's how he spends his time!

Would be even more interesting if the 'S' was removed from the end of 'staples'.

*EATING IN THE FIFTIES*
Pasta was not eaten in Australia.
Curry was a surname.
A takeaway was a mathematical problem.
A pizza was something to do with a leaning tower.
All potato chips were plain; the only choice we had was whether
To put the salt on or not.
Rice was only eaten as a milk pudding.
A Big Mac was what we wore when it was raining.
Brown bread was something only poor people ate.
Oil was for lubricating, fat was for cooking.
Tea was made in a teapot using tea leaves and never green.
Sugar enjoyed a good press in those days, and was regarded
As being white gold. Cubed sugar was regarded as posh.
Fish didn't have fingers in those days.
Eating raw fish was called poverty, not sushi.
None of us had ever heard of yoghurt.
Healthy food consisted of anything edible.
People who didn't peel potatoes were regarded as lazy.
Indian restaurants were only found in India.
Cooking outside was called camping.
Seaweed was not a recognised food.
"Kebab" was not even a word, never mind a food.
Prunes were medicinal.
Surprisingly, muesli was readily available, it was called cattle feed.
Water came out of the tap. If someone had suggested bottling it and
Charging more than petrol for it they would have become a laughing stock!!
*The one thing that we never ever had on our table in the fifties
..... Elbows, or mobile phones
