Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Just great sitting listening to the occasional truck rumble past down the bumpy Sturt h/way, it is a bit cool but so nice to be doing nothing at all but relaxing. Shall hit Renmark tomorrow if we feel like moving on, have to be home for Monday as the 2nd court appearance in the Adelaide magistrates court for the dirty old man and we won't miss that for anything. Might be time for a nice milo and hit the sack to curl up with the pussies. So Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Enjoy the rest of your escape Dot.
Today we visited a Chinese Emporium in Tingha. It was a fascinating museum of tin mining and early days of the grocery trade in rural Aus. It kept us amazed for hours, which we did not expect at all. The people who were all volunteers were also fascinating. Some of them were born in Tingha and told us a lot about the early years in their town. Another gave a clear demo of how labour intensive it was in the tin mines. Just mind boggling stuff.
All this adventuring is very tiring, so night all xxx

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Deborah, did you see the huge collection of steam driven machinery on a property there in Tingha, we wished that had been open to view but apparently a private venture?

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Didn't exactly see that Shirley, but we did see the local (Inverell) vehicle museum today. Wow, what we thought would be nice diversion ended up taking well over two hours and we were both totally engrossed in all the vintage vehicles. Model T's were in huge numbers, but they also had vintage buses, delivery trucks and motorcycles. It was really worth the visit.
We did see a collection of steamy machinery outside the local historical village. We avoid those villages, as they all seem to be the same stuff. Once you had seen Old Sydney Town and the one at Willberforce, well they just start to look the same old. So no we didn't go and sniff around the machinery, probably should have. Maybe next trip through this area.
This weekend the Tingha caravan park is having a vintage caravan rally. I hope we see some of those vans on the road tomorrow. We will be heading for Bingara. It does sound like a lovely spot to just chill out.
Well it's night night from me. xxx

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Not one vintage van was sighted on our travels today, maybe I got the date wrong? Oh well, at least we got here safely. Bingara was driven through, only because we got there in really good time . We are now in Manilla caravan park. well worth a visit, but still only a very small town. It is very peaceful and restful in this park, so we are quite contented. Safe travels home Dot.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Thanks, got that. Tomorrow I will definitely have my finders and toes crossed for a good resolution, Dot.
I am loving this empty feeling park. Dot, I know you don't like caravan parks, you would have loved Manilla Caravan park ... plenty of room to move and wide open spaces. Lake Keepit has quite small sites, but the area surrounding us is huge and open. Loving the tranquillity and the kangaroos hopping all around. Your bus would fit on a camping site no dramas and the peace n quiet would appeal to you too.
Well I need my ugly sleep too, so nighty night all. xxx

Easy walk into town from Manilla C.P.Too for M.Hs. That don't tow a car.
I agree it is a great park.
