We are still in Lightning Ridge, had a reasonable day sales wise, so not too unhappy. More sales again tomorrow, the opal festival goes until lunchtime Sunday.

We ended up travelling North, 300 kl to St George QLD, after leaving markets at 1pm. Not too bad, road a bit rugged, cattle grids and many dips.

Sales were only ok on Thurs and Fri, Sat n Sun were a waste of time. All the traders were in the same boat, there isn't the money at the moment for luxuries, the Ridge has been very badly hit by draught. Hoping for better this weekend at Anakie.

Tonight we are in very windy Rolleston. Warm day (27) and nights are meant to be very chilly, down to 1.
