The pitter patter was so loud tonight, that we had to shut all the doors n windows, just to hear the tv. It has been relentless all day long, wish we could share it with the drier parts of this country. You are right Terry, Mannum is beautiful and I wish we there too. But maybe we could send our rain over there to them?

I wanna get away from the rain so don't send it there just yet :lol: I wonder how much effect the Qld rain will have on the Murray river level, that might be something to watch, don't think we will ever see a '56 flood event again though, most of the town went under in that one.

Put a huge day in at the op shop today and am totally stuffed. Our yard dwellers Greg & Dee cooked tea for us tonight and it was just lovely. Goodnight everyone x :) goodnight Tanks

Terry most of that rain has fallen in the Lake Eyre catchment area, not the Murray .....
About 3 years ago when Theodore etc etc got flooded there was a very small rise in levels down South but the river was flowing faster.
Above Blanchetown lock all shacks & caravans had water inundation.....
Our friends at Morgan had many caravans & boats on trailers on their block for months.
All the huge storage dams take a lot of filling all the way down the creek.
