Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Put some pics up please Deborah. I am having those flying high episodes (must be what Ray feels like) so I just may fly off to bed. Shall ask who ever is last on here to do the lights please. Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Not sure if I'm the last one awake this time, so I'll just turn the lights down so no one trips over. Maxed out on pain killers a few hrs back... may as well go and lay on the bed for a while cause it's getting cold now. Goodnight anyone who is still awake

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Just finished turning FIVE pens from a piece of local Redgum!
Beautiful wood when it's polished...
The pens are to be 'Thank-You' gifts for guest speakers at my PROBUS Club in Corowa (in the 'other' colony across the Murray!)
Sometimes the river is not an insurmountable barrrier... I's accepted as a member in NSW, even though I'm a 'foreigner' from across the river!
I've kept a piece of the log to make a nice fruit bowl for our house...
Some years ago (embarrassing to mention how many!) Son and Heir gave me a barometer and dial thermometer for my birthday, with the intention that I should turn a timber mounting for them. Tried several approaches, didn't like any of them. Coupla years ago, I attended the Melb Working With Wood show, and came across a Huon Pine offcut for sale. Immediately envisioned the two dials mounted in it, so flashed the cash, and walked away with it. Bloque behind me in the queue offered me twice what I'd just paid for the lump of wood. I refused. The wood was exactly what I wanted, and had taken me years to find. The timber languished in my shed in Melb, until we moved to Rutherglen. Now I'm keen to produce STUFF, and the gift from Son has been mounted... has a lookie... t'other accessories are a small clock (at left) and at right, a 40-year brass calendar.
An' at 0100h, g'nite all!
(BRUCE, HELP!! It's upside down again!!!

Crazy! It's upside-down in the normal view, but when I click on it, the enlarged view is right-way-up!
