G,Day All
Sorry for the delay in answering team, both units are Pioneer brand, the new one which went into the cab is a Pioneer DEH-X4850BT bought at Supercheap for around $160.00 it has Bluetooth, Smartphone compatible, USB port, single CD AM/FM Radio which is all I need, the unit it replaced had all of the features of the new unit but no Bluetooth, I realised later while on our first trip using it that I had made a blunder re the Bluetooth and I wished I had spent the extra for the Bluetooth unit then, I guess it all adds up to road safety when receiving phone calls while driving, the Co Pilot is a bit of a luddite when technology is involved and has difficulty pressing the right buttons when needed.(although she knows how to press my buttons at times) lol, I have not had a chance to use the Bluetooth on the road yet but I am sure it will be ok when it counts.
Cheers
Chris

Question about the Bluetooth, does it send and receive Bluetooth or only send? We wanted to send Bluetooth to the unit so the stereo could use the 4 speaker system with the TV/streaming thing on the 'puter, video to the screen and sound to the stereo.... but no such luck, it only sent out a signal to blue tooth speakers etc

No colour pref just as it comes out ;) Yes you are a good daddy to Miss Crunchy, George is also a good daddy to the feral pussy we have down the yard. Put a shelter down there for it plus it gets food every night left at the entry to the shelter. Back to the subject of rigs, G got the shaved bits of aluminium from the nice man and so the final leg of the sat system installation is on the way. Also put a LED light in the wardrobe. :D

What happens when you get a call but are not travelling along, just sitting about, perhaps in the annex? How do you define to the radio when to answer and when to leave it for the phone?

if you answer the phone handset, the blue tooth doesn't engage. (that's how the cars work)
