Bagmaker,

If you wanted straight, you should have bought an IKEA bus and not a Volvo.

Maybe give Simon a ring at Wagga tractors.
This pump has 3 cast inlet pipes and one has a 1" tapped hole for the water pump elbow and 7 bolts hold it on. It is near an abstract art item by the shape of it, I can understand why no one tried to make after market copies  With a bit of luck I'll be able to modify this universal fit water pump brg and seal to di the job, just hope the cast impeller holds up to being machined out to 3/4" and then presses on without fracturing....... just thinking about it I've decided to turn the shaft down to 5/8"instead so the impeller remains original, I can always get another brg but an impeller would be the death of the project

Now you're thinking. I can't understand why manufacturers build stuff then don't supply spare parts, seriously how many people replace water pumps from time to time. Yes, maybe all of us. Good luck mate.

Wayne, blue tac won't help.

Ha, I wish.
Roof is domed, ceiling/ first floor is domed, bottom floor is flat but with a walkway. Sides belly in the middle (2m off the ground) and everything is made of soft aluminium. Ahh well, the joys of building

My sides go out about 3 inches in the middle and then upto a curved corner and then to a curved ceiling.

Everything is tin, painted green, tarred and or gal or both.... and riveted.

No idea where the last reply went, probably powering the ether or something.
Spent the day looking for a different water pump seal, one for a 5/8"shaft rather than a 3/4"shaft. Can't find anything relating to the part number on the old seal, the 2 replacements are either too long with all the bits combined or not quite the size to seal on the shaft properly or seal in the housing properly. So another day I didn't have to spare lost, it will just have to back together MacGyver style to get us over to the Lake and back, then I'll have more time to look for a better seal. The silicon squeezed up into the leak hole worked good enough to get here so with a new brg it should get us there and back :? hopefully
