Went over the band trailer and decide to put in a couple of new spring shackle pins. When jacked up, discovered they are really stuffed quite a fair bit of play. Took one out easy, but the rocker pins are stuck fast, cutting of and trying to punch them through didn't work at all, so looks like will have to replace the rocker and all pins on both sides. Checked the trailer coupling and brake system, going to replace the coupling and brake lines an also replacing all the tyres got, 14inch light truck 8 ply radials for $90 each the other day fitted.

Well not today but last Wed, 3 new tyres for the Mazda after blowing one just before the trip down Macquarie Pass, left inside rear and spare had a puncture. $680 for 3 new tyres, 3 new tubes and them doing all the tyre swapping around, happy with that :D Apart from that the Mazda and trailer have performed faultlessly.... well except for the trailer falling off in the first 100 yrd up the road from the Mannum workshop, hitch rolled over till it released off the ball so will need to fit a new one when we get back. Have it held upright with a chain at the moment and that seems to work fine :?
No more running out of fuel now the fuel leak in the injector pump is fixed, must have wasted a lot of fuel while I tried to sort out where the leak was as it would have only happened when under heavy load, starts nearly instantly now rather than a cough splutter run on one cyl start it has suffered since the motor was rebuilt a few yrs back

Ummm.... possibly but probably about as much as I seem to have  Court appearance for the MVA against NRMA trying to get it heard in the district court.... only been since oct 2004, the wheel of the legal system turn very slowly when it comes to the NRMA paying out on a their CTP insurance that is a compulsory part of NSW vehicle registration.
A few small jobs to attend to while over this way and on the return trip so thought we'd make a holiday of it as well, 3000km return trip just for few hr court appearance needed a bit of something extra to justify the expense and time away.

http://www.ozervnews.com/forum/viewtopi ... 150#p70356 Monday evening, made I to Renmark and camped over night in a free camp, then on to Gunning and over night there, then the shores of Lake Illawarra at a spot near the Tallawarra power station from a few nights so an easy drive to the Sydney trains and back for the court trip and then a recovery day.

Just spent the day trying to get the pins out of the trailer rockers, couldn't move one with a 10t porta power. Ended up cutting the hanger off and will take it to an engineer in the next couple of days to see if they can get it out, If not, may have to replace the entire spring set. Have decided to tackle the other side and see how I go with that, if it is the same, may just replace everything. Which will mean lots of cutting and grinding, boring stuff. No longer have oxy and can't heat it up enough with gas to make a difference.

no, tachometer but
yay ya yay!! :D
Figured it out this arvo. Lost 1 litre sweat, 3 litres blood, half a kg of hair, etc.
for future reference, the 2 pins on the magnetic tachometer pickup are VOLTAGE SPECIFIC!!! They only work with the right wire on the right terminal!!!!
So not just a little switch, a little switch that must be wired the right way.

Extra beers tonight ;)

Yes please..............but back to topic.... ;)

I went out to the camper to check the Vs tonight and got a nose full of smoke. Well, not actual smoke, but smoke smell.
We were away last weekend and I had a fire, as you do, but despite Anne's insistence that it was set a good distance from the van...............it wasn't apparently. :D

No matter, open all the doors and let the wind blow free, that in itself causes it's own issues....... :|

All good tomorra :)
