Listened to a male talking "sailor" whilst trying to remove one of the studs that is broken off. Then took the manifold up to a place for the man to smooth it to a nice level surface before we can put it back together. Can't do anything until the stubborn studs are out.
Queen of the Banal & OT chatter and proud of it. If it offends you then tough titty titty bang bang.

If there is an equivalent to these at http://toxicdiesel.blogspot.com.au/2015 ... folds.html I would highly recommend them. Three parts move and stop studs from snapping off

The old UD CK40 had a one piece manifold and if all studs are done up to specs it would crack the manifold in half.
Leaving the two centre studs out (or undone) and there was no problem. It was a turbo motor too.
I wonder which studs were not in Dot's Mitzi...?

I think Dot thinks the tightest stud is in the front.

I've got a stud broken is a spare Kabota block. The engine guy has suggested a method where they zap it with a spark which eats it away.... never heard of that before.
