Leaving the two centre studs out (or undone) and there was no problem. It was a turbo motor too.
I wonder which studs were not in Dot's Mitzi...?
No missing studs in the motor thing Bruce but there were 3 males there but no studs

Wife decided that she did not like the floor coverings in the van anymore, especially after I left a new mat on the floor and it got wet from me washing up, lovely multi coloured bright stripes on flooring now. So off we went to Bunnings to look at some vinyl planking. I should have known better, came home with 4 packets of vinyl planking which should cover our floor. Now the job of pulling up the old vinyl, lucky it was only glued to the floor around the edge, about 30cm wide, still a bugger of job as I had to cut around all the cupboards and bed and toilet and shower. A day later I have it all stripped out ready for sanding, a coat of Bondcrete and new planking. Wow am I looking forward to this one being finished. I will post some before and afters when done. Probably in the next two weeks, cant rush these things LOL
On the road full time, sometimes?????

Just be careful with the vinyl flooring.

I'm not sure what your rig is, but the Bedford vinyl floor types had asbestos in them. (confirmed by having them tested)

They can be removed but it has to be done using heat to activate the glue and softening the tile. Then they carefully peel off.

Is there anything we lived with/in/on 40 odd yr ago that didn't/doesn't have asbestos in it :|

It's going to be creating problems for many years to come I think.

Finally got the last stubborn stud out then time to get it all put back together, time to see if we had followed Terry's instructions and we headed for home totally worn out. Got home and there was no surprises either so happy with that.. Thanks for the help Terry. Tomorrow is a good clean out and to rid the greasy finger prints from most surfaces :)

I'd leave the mechanics finger prints there just to show it's being lovingly maintained.
How did the clutch go on the way home?
