Same as on the way over there Bruce, Reckon we might have to see the mechanic as neither of us want to try this job, Terry seemed to think it was "slipping" as he backed the bus into position.

I as a female and the driver think it is? Terry backed the bus into his yard and he thought it was engaging when the pedal was too far out. I thought there was something off after I went around a corner and when I put my foot down to speed up it seemed to rev up but got no where for a few seconds?? plus the clutch pedal seems very loose ie goes to the floor very very easy. if that makes sense.

Could it be an hydraulic issue with fluid bypassing the master/slave cylinder cups ?
That would probably still give some resistance at he pedal though........ :(

Lance it wouldn't slip.

Bruce, could be. I had a few clutches in a rally car die because the springs collapsed. (Many due to excess throw and holding the clutch down too long.)

Is this clutch job a big one?

Being a rear engine'd thing, I have no real idea.....

If the gearbox can be removed with out taking the engine out, yes-ish

eg: Newcastle George's is easy to do. Mine, I have to take the engine and gearbox out. probably 3 days vs 6 hours to do a clutch.

Can you open the floor up and see the gearbox?
