Been chipping away at it steadily of late and now have my power steering back together.
Before,

Now,

Ended up with a V8 Commodore power steering pump which I had to design and make up brackets for.
All primed up and seems fine, though I haven't actually started the engine yet.

Here is my first attempt at a little video of what I've done recently, it's not great and it seems I mumble more than I thought I did, but may be of some interest perhaps.

Cheers,

P S would there be any interest in a new topic with a lot of my work on the bus?

Just a quick note I meant to add:-
Big thanx to O G Automotive, they did great job and were very helpful and not over the top cost wise.
I would recommend them to anyone.

Cheers,

Nice job El-Gringo!
I like the new paint!
That inlet hose is never going to kink, right??
It will be good to hear of your experience with the electric fans after the issues "busman" has had running thermo fans on his GM.

Yeah the inlet hose may be an issue, though it's not as bad as it might look.
I was thinking of getting one of those hydraulic hose thingos to go over the outside and keep it in shape.
Don't know what there called do you?

Thermo fans only just coped on the way down here from Rockhampton this time 2 years ago and it was quite cool weather and even drizzly at the time.
Went up the Cunningham's gap at night, while it's not as steep as Toowoomba Range it is a very long ascent, third gear all the way.
So I know I have to do more. I have got an aluminium 3 core cooler out of a commodore complete with fans and all and I have a nice place to fit it up, so hoping that will do the trick.
It's quire amazing though how much air my thermo's actually move...
I also think that my engine should be easier to keep cool than a GM as for 1 thing it's naturally aspirated and 2nd an inline 6 has more surface area to cool it - well that's my theory anyway.

After 30 years fitting hydraulic systems I should know what that support is called too (but I dont  ) -if you measure the outer diameter and drop into an Enzed or Pirtek shop they will have some, its basically a spring.

I found some called Unicoil on ebay, so will follow that up soon.

Thanx for the link, William and I have swapped emails a few times, I think he's convinced that I will have to do more than I want to, he's probably right, but I'm stubborn enough to try my idea first and see,,,
