Been working in my shed this afternoon, but it does seem that the world is a distraction. The phone rings and I spent over an hour talking to a neighbour. The pantry shelf decided to almost collapse, so several hours of restoration and repairs required there before I could get down to work. So finally after a very late lunch, I got down to the glassworks. I have started on the next kiln load, but it may take a few days to fill at this rate. I don't really need a lot of stuff, but do have to have some new things to take away this year.
It is now freezing here, so I need to get to the thawing out zone in the bed,

Made another couple of kiln shelves worth of creations, so had a productive day. I have still a couple more shelves to fill before I can get the kiln firing up, but the work is getting done now.

Today was the coldest morning on the coast since last winter (radio told me so). It was only 1 degree when I woke, so being a smart sort of person. I went back to sleep. It was still very cold when I got up and has stayed that way all day. So I need to get to bed to thaw out

So it's a good night from me xxx

It is cold here tonight and am not going to keep the air con on so I am off for a hot shower and then to bed so goodnight everyone x

It should be nice n warm in my shed Dot, but when I am cutting microscopic bits of glass, I have to leave the air con off, or they get blown around too much. I need all the blinds open to get good light, and the biggest windows are very close to the lake. Very beautiful in warm weather, but today I could feel the cold just dropping onto my bench. I was glad to finish with the fiddly stuff today. Hopefully I will crank up the heat tomorrow with the kiln turned up to max for the whole day.
Looking forward to thawing out again tonight, so its good night again from me xxx

Hey Dot, the kiln is all fired and even cooled down. I started on the glue-ing today. What a time consuming fiddly job, but almost halfway there.

It is so cold here, someone turned off the sun. I think I will remove my lovely new aldi heated blanket thing and slip into my prewarmed aldi bed. Just gotta love an aldi sale, have you got the aldi shop yet Dot? We don't get there very often, but the electric blanket looks a beauty. (Tell you all about it tomorrow night).

Visited Aldi yesterday thankyou Deborah! Spent more time trying to work out what various things were than buying.
All those strange cereals............. Takes a minute each one to read what is inside the box!
Bought one packet of bikkies that had a good photo on the packet but I'm sure Pete, Dot's corella, wouldn't even be impressed with it!
Frost has all gone now!
