Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

BruceS, I don't really like aldi, I find so much of the stock is foreign and doing our farmers out of work/business. The frozen veg came from Belgium and England yesterday, so I didn't buy any of that stuff.  But a lot of the biscuits are locally made and hubby likes them, especially the choc coated ones, so I do relent on them. There are 2 very sweet tooths in this house...him n me. So some aldi choc bikkies and treats are ok to buy. ;) ;) But so are the specials like their electric blankets. It is amazing to be able to tell it what temp for feet and different temp for body and then tell it when to turn the heat off on each setting. It is really a wonderful thing and was a treat last night when it looked like snow was about to fall. Looks the same tonight to and it is cold, so the bed is getting warmer and I will be there very soon.
Spent more time in the shed today, more bits needing to be made before I go back to trying to flog stuff at various gem festivals. So I have been a busy girl again. Stay warm you lot,
nighty night xxx

Dot, aint doing nothing just so tiring? Take it carefully there my dear (not being sarcarastic, just caring)

I was very productive today. Finished building up a load of glass for the kiln, and as long as I can get up early enough, I will get it on the heat. Woohoo, a hot time in the old shed tomorrow. :P

Heading off to get some shut eye, so that I can get an early start, good night one and all xxx

Cheeky Dot. It did get very warm in my shed, but not that way..my kiln did all the heating and it is looking good. Wont be cool enough to touch until lunch time tomorrow, so I am only going on what I can see on the top shelf. Had a lady complain that my pieces were too small for her oversized boobs. So some are quite big pieces and not to my liking, but if one person has asked for it, there will hopefully be others who want it too.

Did a quick run to aldi today, to get some cheap nibblies for the long weekend coming up. Van is going to take us away to Forster with our jayco mob. Looking forward to seeing the jayco family again. It seems like ages since we were with them......well I checked the diary, and we went with them to Sydney for the state rally in February. That seems like a lifetime back.

Well it's time for a big snooze and thaw session, so goodnight one and all xxx

You will be proud of me Dot. I finished over a hundred pendants and fifty pairs of fffffffiddlly earings tonight. I think they look pretty good, so will let you know how well they do or don't sell. I am taking them off to a jayco weekend this weekend, so my good mates will tell me if they are worth all the effort. Hopefully, they will buy some pieces and pay for the weekend too. Pays to have good mates who like your stuff!

We finally had our solar hot water fixed today, by a very interesting gentleman. Turns our that he is a solar guru and was very impressed by our solar back up system. After he lusted after the computer controller and stuff, he told us that there is now a way use all the hardware we have, add a system called Reposit and a few more solar panels and we could be getting our house totally covered by solar and any power that we don't use would be sold back to the grid during peak times at peak prices not the miserable .06 cents that we get now. Terry, you might be able to comment on this. Have you heard or read anything about this Reposit stuff? We are seriously interested as it seems that we already have most of the requirements and they just need some refinements and bigger back up batteries. When we are not at home, the whole lot of solar panels would be paying for our trips as well.. , sounds a bit too good to be true?????

All this research and ffffffiddly jewellery making is sending me to dreamland, so off you all go. Nighty night. xxx

Have a read here http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2574047 The battery back up or self powered idea is excellent but you won't get rich selling power back to the grid as the peak price times are not that common and the rate you can export back to the grid is rather small compared to the big generators, so not really cost effective in that regard but a lot better than giving the power away like many do now.
