Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

It's cold and I'm stuffed.
Chinese dichroic glass looked pretty good, when it arrived in the post, but once fired the sparkly bits all rubbed off. So wont be doing that again in a hurry. I think I got what I paid for. So today's kiln opening was not quite as spectacular as it usually is. Much of the American glass fired beautifully, so I still have some product to sell, just not as much as I expected.
Off to thaw out, so it's goodnight from me xxx

Dot wrote: Wed Jul 12, 2017 12:01 am Been a very busy day today and I am buggered so goodnight everyone x :) goodnight Mr Russell and Tanks x :)

'tanks" here---Dot,
Mr.Russell and I are enjoying the good times in Dysart.
The " TANK" is parked next to the car port and the newly acquired 2001 Mazda Tribute Wagon is in the car port. I don't have a name for the Tribute yet as I have only bought it a few days ago. I think the name ["MAZDA--BATER"] of my 1st motorhome may be in the running. I'm open to suggestions here.

I needed wheels to get around the town instead of driving the "TANK" on shopping trips and other social activity like going to the local Sports Club for an occasional lunch or dinner when I can't find the can opener to open a can of Spaghetti or baked beans.

I trust that you will get your crutch fixed without too much bother and you and George are soon on the way for another visit to Dysart in the sunny North. Keep George on a short lead while you are in the caravan park waiting repairs to your unit.
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Dot, keep that clutch in gear now. What with the brains trust trying to sort your issue out from such distances, you are amongst very good friends. All here are so helpful.
I had a productive day making up various earings n pendants ready for our next gem festival outing. I think I have enough ready made stuff now to finish off a few more festivals, so it's off to slumber I go.

Goodnight everyone xxx

I wasn't too keen on Coober Pedy either. I couldn't quite explain the feeling either. Started with the aimless, barefooted locals, but also the attitudes of people in the shops too. Just a weird feeling. And the weirdness of the terrain, all those white mullock heaps and holes in the ground that are totally unprotected with no attempts to fill in those many unmined holes. Even the caravan park (same one) had a strange vibe about it, like they couldn't care less if you have a safe or good time, just get out of the office and find somewhere to park up for the night thanks.

Today was a different shopping day. Sister took me to a food wholesaler that is really closer to an old time delicatessen with a few bulky packs of stuff thrown in. The prices are not that good, but the weird n wonderful stuff was fascinating. We spent way too long in there, just reading labels and discovering about the different products. They even have a cooled cheese room and another for just chocolate (heaven). We came home with an odd assortment of foods. Fancy biscuits for visitors, pink peppercorns, nougat, and frozen spanakopita (cheese n spinach in puff pastry). As you can see Bibina is more of a fancy deli than a wholesaler, but interesting all the same.

Spending money is so tiring, so off to get some ugly sleep,
nighty night one and all xxx

Travel well Dot. I do hope you find some places that have interweb connectivity, we all are keen to hear of your travels.

Had a busy day, tossing out a lot of junk and donating a lot of my school resources to a pre-school that is under resourced. IT was so good to find a home for a lot of my kids books and activity planners, the puppets are now gone along with a ton of big books. I even have some nice space in my store room and can walk into the room a bit deeper now...wonders will never cease.

Last nights ugly sleep didn't work very well, so I am off now to try again.

Sleep tight you lot xxx
