Yes Keith, the Aussie hotel was the one. We had a laugh at the REAL ICE CREAM sign too. But what the heck, the food was good that's all that matters.

Sorry I missed seeing Lesley's message until tonight and we have already moved south. Maybe next year, when we do this trip all over again (something about magically turning glass into petrol ). Well at least we tried, can't say anything else about this one. Maybe better sales next year and maybe catch up with Lesley too.

Don't eat too many of Keith's Weiss bars Dot. Enjoy your visit.

Feeling very sleepy tonight. We drove down the hill to Maleny showgrounds (in the glasshouse mountains). This is a pretty interesting town, with arty farty stuff to keep me happy and a cheap showy for the budget. It's $15 per night with or without power. So we found a powered area that has a tap, with amazing water pressure and a lovely lot of green grass with a background of trees. The caravan parks around here are asking $32 -38 for off peak nights and this is the busy season. Hate to think what they would be asking and none of the parks are anything special. So we reckon that this is a pretty good find.

Still munching on Weiss bars Dot?

we had a very interesting day in my favourite place of all time.. Montville. It is so arty farty and full of fascinating shops and galleries, that I was in heaven. I found two shops selling dichroic jewellery done by two different artists. I spent a lot of time studying their works and now will be doing some more experimenting in my shed once we return home. Not copying their ideas, just refining some of my techniques.

As Montville is set out on a huge hill, the walking up and down has tired me out, so off to get some ugly sleep.

We made it to cool Chinderah today, that's NSW, so it's all downhill from now.

Gee Dot, you are quiet up there.

Had a lazy day in Chinderah. Slept in, did the essential shopping, visited an art gallery, started reading another book, cooked some chook in the camp kitchen and now I am here to watch over you lot.

The sun has shone all day, but there has been quite a breeze. Apparently it may be even cooler tomorrow. Still wearing Tshirts, so it cant be too cold... yet.

Have been relaxing on the Tanks veranda counting the cars go by, think we got no further that 7 all day Lovely roast tonight with proper roast spuds an all I am a happy camper. Time for fang clean and off to bed. Goodnight everyone x goodnight Toolman x

Had a quiet day, wandered around Tweed Heads and now need to thaw out in a warm bed. The days are beautiful but it's freezing at night.

I think I am back to square one re my sleeping all the time, must get another blood test. Tanks and I are having a competition of who has the most nana / poppa naps We are heading out of the Tank bunker tomorrow, it has been a great time with Russell and Tanks and so thank you both for your welcoming hospitality, we have enjoyed our time greatly.
