Not shopping, just busy sorting out all the piles of presents for different families. Maybe wrap them tomorrow, but have to sort out centrebloodylink instead. They sent me an email at 2AM to say that we no longer have pensions. I only found the message a while ago and I am still seething. The message had been sent to the email trash. They only gave us $20 per fortnight, but it did help and so did the other things. Now I have to sort out the car and van rego and our drivers licences, do I have to pay up asap or be unregistered and unlicensed? I am really upset at this sudden letter and all of the extra implications that it involves.

Sorry last night I was just a little bit stressed about missinglink and their message. They did send me to the mygov site to get the message about the stolen pension. So today I spent a lot of time on hold with them to finally speak with a real person. Turns out that our next door neighbour sold his property for 1.3 mill. This is a huge triple block with a full waterfront. Our little rental property is quarter sized block with a pretty ugly fibro fishing shack on it and it has no access to the waterfront at all. They upped the value of the shack without actually seeing it. I have asked for a proper review of the value, done by a valuer actually coming to the site and seeing that it does not really match the neighbouring valuations. I am at least trying to be understanding, yet hopeful of some kindness from them.

Dot, you are worth every penny that the health fund has to pay. So enjoy your new tongue and have that steak soon xxx

Hi Deborah

I had the same problem with that department, when I applied for the pension, I devalued my properties in Port Augusta and I had to get a value from a land agent who put the same value on them that I had given. The fact I new the land agent well had nothing to do with it. That only took six months and then after a few months my pension was halved, with Sharyn as my agent talking to them (she used to work for that dept.) found out that every so often some one thousands of kilometres away does what they call a desk audit and puts a value on your property using sales of surrounding properties and valuer generals value which sometimes is out of date, especially in Port Augusta.

Now that Sharyn is working and her income is taken into account my pension was cancelled, but what hurt the most was I had to pay them back $200.

Thanks Geoff, I am not holding my breath for the reply to this one, especially as it's almost time when none of the slackers will be at work anyway. It would almost be a relief to be free of the bloodsuckers, it's just that it has been a great help for us.

I finally spent some time in my shed today, even though it was b hot. I made my first pottery mould. I have forgot all the fine details here, but he formed clay needs at least a week to slowly dry out before I can fire it, for the first fire. So it's in a plastic bag until some time in January. Hopefully there will be time for some more shed therapy tomorrow, before our big neighbourhood Christmas bash.

Well our big neighbourhood Christmas bash went off really well. We had some newbies turn up and they all felt welcome, so that is always a plus. We started at 4 and I didn't get home until 9 and there were still a few sticking around chatting. So I guess that means it was a big success. We ate so much that dinner wasn't even an option here. Just had an extra strong coffee. One of the new neighbours is an artist who makes gold n silver jewellery for a living. She was fascinating. I think we will be able to help each other in many ways. She has a website and all the business knowledge and I have a lot of skills that she is wanting to tap into. So we will have to find time when we can get together after Christmas.

All this partying has plum tuckered me out,
