Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!
We saw a huge variety if Elvi today. Chinese, Italian, Arabic and even a little girl, all performing around town. The buskers are quite cheeky and friendly, while the clubs n pubs seem to have the better performers in their places and many are free performances. So all is very interesting. No storm today, just a night of " Elvis at the trots" . The performer did his thing between the races and he sounded pretty good, from the caravan. I stayed away from the dust n muck. HMV spent the night watching the horsies, so he's happy too.
Time for some shut eye, before it all starts up again tomorrow.
Yes it is early but I am knackered, also have to be in the city for 1115hrs to have check up with #1 surgeon so it's goodnight everyone x Goodnight Jamglor x
Queen of the Banal & OT chatter and proud of it. If it offends you then tough titty titty bang bang.
Hope that the surgeon is all systems a go for you Dot.
Today was much more of the same. We spent the afternoon in a bowlo watching a young man (Anthony Pettrucci) who was particularly good. He chose to sing only the songs from the early concerts, so they were appropriate to his age and abilties. We really enjoyed his performance so much, that we stayed until the very end. He didn't try to sound like Elvis when he spoke and his "thank you very much" was a very Aussie sounding one.
Well, looks like tomorrow will be another hot Elvis day, so off to bed now.
Dot, the surgeons report sounds great. Thinking of ya mate. xxx
Today we went to a Beatnix concert, which was fabulous. Then we watched many different Elvi at the free concerts around town. What a great festival this is, but with over 40 degree days, it is very tiring.
So I am off for some ugly sleep.
The beatnix concert sounds interesting Deborah but the 40c deg is not for me. We had a few dribbles of rain in the city today and even got some goosebumps. Now time to say goodnight everyone x Goodnight Mr Russell and Tanks x

"tanks" here Dot,
It is 08:00 and I am on my 2nd cuppa with Mr Russell still in bed asleep.
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.
Dot, I was really worried about handling the heat, but it doesn't seem so bad. Just have to keep drinking.
Today was closer to 35 and quite pleasant. We went to a small theatre concert by Mark Andrew. It was a wonderful concert with a 10 piece band, brass, guitars, keyboards percussion, backup singers as well as sound and light men. This was a really small venue and the tickets were only $66 each. I don't expect they would have made a lot of profits on that one. He was well worth the cost of the ticket, but there is enough free entertainment to keep us thinking Elvis all day and most of the night! It's still exhausting even though not so hot, so I am looking for some ugly sleep real soon,
Beat me tonight Deborah but I am not far behind you so goodnight everyone x Goodnight Deborah and good morning Steve
Oh Bruce can you hear the Suzi Q show at your place tonight?

A couple of photos from 2015 of Mark Andrew performing in a small cafe at Doreen, Victoria, as a charity fundraiser (for someone Dot knows). As well as Elvis and Austin Powers, he does Roy Orbison, and some John Travolta Grease shows, and more. Magnificent. About 12 years ago, or so, he performed once a month at a small restaurant around the corner from us at Macleod in Victoria.
