Had a fairly uneventful trip back to the lair. Stopped at Jayco and bought an end wall/privacy screen thingy. It was a good price when we added our $50 jayco voucher to it. We won that at Christmas and had to use it soon. As we are not planning on spending in their shop very often, the voucher had been waiting until we could find something to actually buy that we really needed.

Anyway, this little black duck is exhausted from emptying out the van and cleaning it, so good night all xxx

RSD = Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy now ref to as CRPS = Complex Regional Pain Syndrome......As a result from surgery. Had it in L) hand after surgery 1993.

Never a dull moment with you Dot. Enjoy the yard dwellers.

Had a slow day at the lair. Fired a kiln full of just one dish. It is all that would fit in. It was a re-fire from last week. The bowl that I made wasn't sitting flat enough, so I made the hole a bit bigger and cooked it for a little bit longer. The bottom of the bowl fell down the hole to land on the kiln shelf and should be nice and flat now. Tomorrow will tell whether this one was a pass or fail, but it's been a fun exercise. I am not wasting my expensive glass, just using cheap glass and power. I will probably have to pay for the power as we have had a very cool day with showers and not much sun to brighten up my solar panels.

It is finally cool enough to sleep with a sheet, so I am going off to bed to remember what it feels like to sleep soundly under a sheet.

Tranquility is back at your ranch hey Dot?

Yesterday's plate firing was very successful, so 1 happy camper here. Today I tried to fire a couple of business card holders. The kiln had barely got warm and I heard a thud come from inside. One lot of glass had cracked and broken into two pieces. After I looked closely, I found that some air bubbles had formed in the first firing and the crack formed right where the bubbles formed a sort of line across it. So I fired the kiln today for one card holder, it looked pretty good too. So another slow day in the lair.

Sleeping with a sheet is so underrated, but good. I slept well last night and plan on doing it again tonight.
