Been a long day here... catching up on the grocery shopping and doing a few other administrivial things.

Had my working with children clearance signed off, so the nasty person who made comments at our last jayco meeting can be shown. She made an unpleasant comment about trusting people with her grandkids that was totally unjustified, but we all decided to get the checks done and display the certificates. That way, nobody can complain about our helping the kids at different activities.

There are nasty people everywhere Deborah, stuff em. Went to Mt Barker for haircut tonight, lovely and quiet at 6.30pm decided to risk it and get KFC for tea never again, it was greasy and the coleslaw has goe right down on ?quality and the chips were a bit on the stale side. Had some gentle rain here today, just enough for the garden to smile. Heading off to the city in the morning for the check up appointment with the tongue man but for now Goodnight everyone x Goodnight Riverlander x

You must be tired from all the quackery Dot.

Spent today making mudpies again. The moulds that have been so successful have now had doubles made. It took a while to find the best shapes to be making, but I think it's all under control now.

All this banging clay and shaping it, is quite tiring too, so it's a goodnight from me too xxx

How about some pics of your latest masterpieces Deborah. Has been a very weird day for me, I finally awoke at 1pm . Did a couple of loads of washing, pulled some weeds then flopped onto the chair and that was that so now I am going to say goodnight everyone x goodnight Martin x

It was hot here today and I made it hotter. I fired up all of the pottery pieces that I made last week. Yesterday's pieces are still too wet for that job yet. While the kiln was heating up my shed, I worked in the kitchen. Making up some instant foods for our next workaway. Sausage rolls, spanikoppita, Greek cheese rolls and some tiny apple pies, all baked and put in the freezer for the next travelathon.

Will someone remind me of this later in the year please? It is so wonderful to feel the cool weather and hear the rain drumming on the roof... bliss. The garden is greening up nicely and the tanks must be full by now. The rain has been heavy and consistent, so far, it has been a blessing for the gardens around here.
