Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

You are right there Dot. ;) ;) ;) Smooth talking will win the customers, sadly the wind was howling and it's freezing, so the customers all stayed home. The whole festival was almost silent for most of the day.

All this smiling and explaining how dichroic glass is made has tired me out, so good night everyone xxx

Robert, we are in downtown Glen Innes in the freezing zone of New England (NSW).

Dot, how's the road treating you ?   Enjoy your freedom mate xxx

Today we fared a little better, but heck, it was slow as a wet week. Just as HMV was telling me that maybe Glen Innes customers have bought all the glass that they will want, a lovely lady dropped by. She said, "I already have 5 of your pieces, but I really want more. Show me what you have made this year" HMV went very quiet and lady and I agreed it would be good for her to return in the morning with photos of her current pieces, so that we can find her matching earings and some different pieces. I remember her returning last year after she had seen a piece and wanted it so much she rushed in as we opened, the next morning. I am pretty certain that she will return with her dosh, so looking promising.

Currently we are being serenaded by some loud drunks at a wedding across the road. Hopefully the dj will stop soon-ish. Fortunately, it isn't too bad, at least his choice in music is ok. Definitely too loud to get to sleep, so not too impressed with being given this site when the caretaker knew the wedding would be right opposite us.

goodnight from me xxx
Deborah

Keep on enjoying yourself there Dot. Maybe you could try the hand exercises in the nice warm spa pool.xxx

Business was still quite slow, but a few good sales helped the day to be a better one. I had not one, but two repeat customers who just couldn't leave without some of my latest stuff. So that did put a sweetener on the day.

I finally got fed up with the wedding crap at 2:45 and rang the caretaker, who was actually asleep. She lives many buildings away and was totally unaware of the crap that we hearing. So she came down and told them to go home. She went back to bed, but we suffered for another hour while the party goers did a loud clean up. They tossed all their empties into the skip bin as loudly as they could, one by one. I am sure you will understand when I say that I will never come to this showgrounds ever again.

Off to Armidale tomorrow... expect to see snow (almost). I reckon it is one of the coldest places in this state. I am sure there are worse, but Armidale never seems to warm up.

I am writing this in my sleep, so goodnight one and all xxxx

Still in the spa huh Dot?   xxxx

We replaced some of our lost sleep today, by sleeping in until 10am. Oops. We still managed to leave the showgrounds by 11, so not really late. We then drove to Guyra, to the cakeshop for a chicken pie for dinner.twas yummoo. Then another hour down the road to Armidale. It was a lovely drive in the sunshine. We arrived, found our usual spot had a large group of vans in, so started to set up further around the grounds. A tour bus arrived and dumped a large group of people right at the cluster of vans. They all rolled in their power leads and hoses and started off in a convoy out of the showground. After a discussion, we decided to move to our usual spot, for safety reasons and comfort. So we set up twice today, but we now have the protection of a large building to shield us from any winds.

All this moving house has plum tuckered me out, so good night you lot xxx
