Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!
Well done Deborah on not getting a Jeep hope you enjoy your new car. Finally have been able to open windows and doors as the cool change has arrived at last. Time to hit the sack so goodnight everyone x Goodnight Col over there camped at Police paddock on the Murray. x

Yes Deberah you are correct there, I did a test over two years ago and looked like a suicide bomber when I came out to go home. After the test they wanted me to spend a night in hospital trying different mask on. I explained I would have to pay a $500 dollar excess and if they reimbursed me ok. Would not come to the party so that ended that run.
Most will find it nearly impossible to sleep when wired up for a sleep test but give it your best shot as if you do have a problem then actually getting enough oxygen while asleep makes a massive difference to your life. I was slowly killing myself!
If you suspect you have a problem just buy or borrow one of those wrist activity monitors, good basic ones like Fitbit also come with apps and software that can display sleep activity on the screen, that was my first indication that all was not right. A subsequent overnight test with an oxemitry (sp?) device (the little things you clip on a finger to monitor oxygen levels started alarm bells ringing as oxygen levels were down to 70% most of the night!
Despite there being a typical wait of two to three months I was sleep tested the following week and have never looked back since.
When you stop breathing nearly every minute then things aren't going well for health and longevity.
You can also buy cheap oxemitry monitors on ebay that will record levels and display results on the screen for under $30. No cords just the clip on thing does it all.

Robert, I reckon they designed that sleep test in such a way, that you are not going to have a normal sleep and then they will force you to buy all sorts of medieval torture devices to " improve" your sleep. Hope you get an honest review of your situation, sleep well. Obviously there are a lot of people who seem to have been improved totally by this stuff, but for those on the borderline of the problem, it can be a nightmare all on it's own.
Hey Dotty one, I been watching out for puffs of green smoke down your way, but nothing in view??? better fly up to Nimbin where I have been offered all sorts of things, including green cookies and in full view of Mr and Mrs Plod. xxx
Today, I fell in love with a new-ish car. So paid my dues and will collect it tomorrow morning, after they do a service, wash it and fill it with petrol. As this is my first new car for 18 years, I reckon it's ok to be hugely excited. Poor Dorothy Datsun my have her nose out of joint tomorrow when she has to sleep out of the garage for the first time ever.
I am going to need some serious sleep, as last night, well, it was too much excitement to sleep. But tired enough to sleep tonight.
Goodnight all xxx
Are you inviting suggestions to name your new car. Firstly, since the Datsun was named after Dot, will she expect the same with the Toyota RAV?
Naming rights for the ravishing rav will remain with me, Steve. The Datsun got it's name after Dorothy Dinosaur not our darling Dotty one.
Thanks all for the positive comments. Of course I didn't even think about a jeep Dot. I know what you would have said!!! Good news again from the tongue man. xxx
I followed HMV from The Southern Highlands to the Central Coast, and was very happy with my purchase. I spent a lot of the trip fiddling (as you do) with the different things and am very happy with all that I have found. The instant reversing camera is a real bonus that I wasn't expecting, so it does help in knowing where I am driving (in reverse that is)
All this long distance driving has tired me right out, so off to bed now for moi
Good to hear that you made it home without any surprises Deborah.. We had a few drops of rain type stuff earlier but it dried up before it hit the ground. Doggie sitting for a few days, Brian is in charge once again . Time for sleep as have a lymphatic drainage massage tomorrow. so goodnight everyone x goodnight Mr Sniffy x

Thanks for the suggestion Robert. Great minds at work here...I came up with the same name last night. When I referred to Ravishing Ruby this morning HMV gave me the blank look, followed by eyes rolled, so I think we may be on a winner here! Hope the sleep test was a success for your desired outcome.
Dot, I have thought about the car naming thing and remembered that I didn't do forums when I bought the datsun. It's lived with me for 18 years, but we have been adversaries, combatants, friends for about 12 years. Amazing how that time has passed! Good luck with the fang farriering. xxx
The car had a good drive around Newcastle today (only cause I had to collect the vaccuum from the repair shop), and it was still fun. Even when HMV sat in the passenger seat and twiddled knobs for most of the trip. gggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrr
Back to my shed this afternoon, and it was hot work. It's still in the 30s here. Autumn is very cornfusing. I am off to bed now, the excitement has plum tuckered me out.
Tell HMV to go twiddle his own knobs!! who do these men think they are anyway
Red car?? Ranggggger Some rain this evening but they say there will be more tomorrow, so goodnight everyone x and goodnight Ray x glad you are back
