Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Hope it all works well for you Dot xxx Safe travels tomorrow.
Had a computer melt down last night, seems like telstra was to blame. Anyways, I am back tonight. Had some time doing some internet learning today. I found a course on making frames and stands for glass artworks. It was really fascinating and probably a lot useful too.
The earing wires finally arrived and I made the final fifty pairs up, ready for sale, So it's been a busy day.
nighty night one and all xxx

And when do we not play nicely then?

Thinking of you mate. xxx
Another busy day doing weird stuff, like finally arranging to have keys cut, so that the roof racks can be removed from Ruby Rav4. What a difference that will make to how she travels and the disgusting thing is that it only took a few minutes and $11 to make the perfect key. Oh well, the trivial things that we do ....

goodnight all and sundry xxx

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Good to read that our Dot is doing well, keep it up young lady xxxx
After a very long day in the city yesterday, we returned home after midnight, so no computer time. Today our son visited to collect my little car for our grandson to learn to drive on (18months time). The kid was grinning form ear to ear, so it felt right giving the datsun to them. As our son is a mechanic, he is already planning to lower the car, extend the exhaust and put fat wheels on it. I expected this would happen, but he will treat it right and make sure our grandson is in a safe car. In the meantime our son has a new toy to play with.
sleepy time here, so goodnight you lot xxx

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Another day in the shed for me....yes it was fun and not w**k.
We have a neighbour who is renovating his whole house, who has put a few humungously thick pieces of clear glass next to the skip. I wandered over, asked nicely and now have said chunks of glass in my storage area. Builder could not believe that a female could use the glass the way I said that i would. Then when I put a big bit of hardwood on the ground , the glass on top of it and stood on the glass to chop it up to useable pieces, the builder was amazed. I managed to make the glass small enough to fit on a trolley and off we went. Left builder with his mouth on the ground. I can see some expensive looking platters coming out of my kiln....after some experimentation first. Usually I fuse bits of thin glass together for plates, but this is thick enough to be used straight away, so that cuts the whole process down by at least 2 days. I call that a great find!
Even tho it's early for me, I am stuffed. So goodnight all n sundry xxx

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Good to read Helen's reports, so we all know our Dot is doing ok.
Been a quiet-ish day on the lair. Done my community service at the local progress meeting, nothing much to report.
So off to get some well earned zzzzzz
goodnight one and all xxx
