Tried out the sewing machine today, bliss. It is working like it should, so worth the trip. Had the hot water heater installed today, so another thing ticked off. Seems like there is never a dull moment around here. As soon as I finished doing the sewing for the day HMV came out with some extra stuff that " needs a stitch or two" . So looks like I will be doing some more sewing tomorrow, after a fang farrier visit.

At least the sun returned today, so that was a positive. Off to warm up,

Had the broken filling replaced today. Stupidly, that seemed to take up most of the day. Anyway, after cooking up a slow roast and vegs, we had a lovely soft dinner and now I am stuffed. So off to the land of nod for me too,

Dot, have you been reading my lusts??? I have been lusting after some good old fashioned cobbers. Remember when you got a fresh one, they were really hard and loved the chewines of them. Nobody makes any really decent hard caramels today, maybe something about avoiding law suits for broken teeth! Sleep in tomorrow for you Dot xxx

Today was a domestic day in the lair. I had the arrival of a new gas cooktop (not bad, after only ordering it late yesterday) and the start of the removal of the old cooktop. This is going to be tedious. Sparky removed old electric cooktop and wired in a powerpoint for the new one, so he wont have to come back for the big install. The hole that it will sit in is a tiny bit too small. So now I have to wait for the kitchen bench mob to come and file off a tiny bit of the granite bench. They cant come before next Friday. Then the plumber will fit it all on the following Tuesday. Looks like more one pot meals for a while. I have been using a single element induction thingy from Aldi for a year, so it's time to deal with the problems ( while appliancesonline were having a big sale on cooktops anyway).

Being domesticated is very tiring,

After a domesticated day of finally catching up with the washing and getting some weird chores done. Like adding the weathershields to Ruby Rav 4 and tidying a few more places inside the house.. This house living is bad, way too many things that have to be done.So much less to do when living in a 16foot box on wheels! Well it's on a smaller scale anyways.

I am off to that nice warm bed too now,

Evening Deborah you can still buy the original ALLENS Cobbers. You have to buy through a bulk lolly shop that is normally set up in shopping centres.

There is a mob in Adelaide who make something similar but no where as good. They have always been my favorite. Cheers Robert.
