Peter, you are so right. Bellingen is a place for the great unwashed, but it does have a great vibe and meals at the pub have been most enjoyable. We will certainly hang around for the market day, always some good stuff on sale. They even sell green cookies hhmmmm.

Today I ventured out to do a grocery shop. The place was packed. Dont know why, but I will be giving Mondays a miss for shopping from now on. The aisles were stuffed with shoppers, humungous trolleys for people who do the shopping for others and the shelf stockers were there too. It took double the usual time, so not a great day.

Cooktop install tomorrow, yay.

Yay, I'm cooking with gas and it's wonderful. I played a bit of watching the gas flames etc, but it was too late to start on the chuck steak by the time we finished with putting the kitchen back to being a kitchen. After the plumber left, late this afternoon, we tried to return the drawers. The top ones refused to co-operate. After we cut out chunks off the back of each drawer to allow for the gas pipe, one still bounced out after we pushed it in. It took us a while to realise that the guy who trimmed the granite has managed to mash the timber frame. So after the liquid nails and steel bracket went on, no more dramas. But it has been a bit of an anticlimax, seeing the lovely cooktop and not being able to access it to finally cook. Looking forward to tomorrow and the christening meal.

Off to that nice warm bed, so goodnight all xxx

Spent today cleaning out the contents of most of the kitchen drawers. Only have one cupboard in the kitchen, so it's a lot of drawers that saw me cleaning today. I have made a very big pile of things for the adult kids to go through before the rest goes to the opshop. Then I cooked a lovely braised steak n onions on the gas cooktop...bliss.

I definitely need some ugly sleep tonight,

Used the morning to drive around town and catch up on some errands, like scripts from chemist etc, then after lunch I spent time in my shed. I feel more calm now that the sparkly fettish has been warmed. I have only filled a couple of the shelves in the kiln, so a few more to be filled tomorrow......bliss.

I spent quite some time in my shed today.
Farting about fixing a drill press which had developed a habit of wandering off-target, then progressing toward the completion of a fourth side-table for the loungeroom... well, cutting & sanding the timber, at least.
