Dot, that is a terrible pun. You get the pun-ishable award tonight.

Hope the uphill run happens very quickly now xxxxxxx
Shirley, you are right. It's a hobby that just just keeps on growing. The making of this jewellery has been a godsend for me. It gives me a reason to get out of bed and has helped us both to have a reason to travel, meet new people and have some fun along the way.
Jon, mostly, yes I just balance the bits on top of each other on a shelf in the kiln and hope they fuse where I put them. If there are a lot of tiny pieces that dont want to balance, I use a glue to hold the bits together just to move it to the kiln. Once it gets hot the glue stops being strong and burns out, so its a bit of a 2 way thing, good and bad if you see what i mean? If the glue relaxes at the wrong temp, the bits just wander all over the place. That can lead to some very interesting pieces too. Have a look at the facebook page D.d.dragon dezigns (make sure to use a z in dezigns) and scroll down the pics. There are some pics of things in the kiln. I dont really put a lot up there. It's mainly to let my friends and customers know where to find me.
So today was another of those days. I almost wished that the idea for making cheats earings had not happened. The tiny (2 mm diameter) magnets are so strong that we both had a bit of a struggle to separate them. I put the individual magnets onto a sheet of metal and then glued the bits of glass on top....ultra fiddly. My next fear is that the glue will have stuck the magnets and glass to the metal...tomorrow will tell.
All this fiddly stuff is very tiring, so off to that warm bed for me. Sleep well you lot xxx
