Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Not at all...
Just that fatigue gnaws at my bones.
Read earlier that a rider last year reached 130.7km/h!😳
Beats me hollow: I could ‘only’ manage 120 down the old Singleton hill... (70mph in the old money).
O’course, they’s got steeper, longer mountain roads in Froggyland.
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Tell you what this woman does really well Dot...I sleep like no other and do not wake well at all !!   xxxx

The van is packed ready for an early-ish departure. I finished packing my clothes just as our daughter and family arrived for a very late lunch. Luckily, she provided the lunch, prepared and plated it (what bliss) and we enjoyed their visit with miss 4 year old immensely. I think daughter realized that the food in this house has been consumed by a tribe of picky teenagers and we didn't replenish it, in preparation for lift off. I offered to cook the left over frozen chicken nuggets and was told that their child would not eat that rubbish, so that felt good. One out of three grandkids who eat real food, not a pass mark, but still it's good to see that one can eat proper foods. Maybe in her teens, this one will be just as difficult to please.

I dont know where we will be tomorrow night, this can be interesting. Anywhere from Gunnedah to Wee Waa, whichever showgrounds looks the most tempting.

Goodnight one and all xxx

Keep chasing those boys in lycra Dot xxxx

We drove as far as Narrabri showgrounds to stay the night. It has dropped to freezing point and will be in the minus degrees in the early morning. I think it may be difficult to get out of the warm bed too early.

goodnight all n sundry xxx

Still laughing Dot??? Stay strong mate xxxx

We made it to the Ridge with no real dramas. Saw lots of road kill beside the roads, that's the worst part of these drought times. Not just roos, but wombats, emu and a large pig, not very nice. Sadder for the poor people who hit them.

Then we had a few dramas at the park. First one, they lost my booking and we lost the biggest site in the park which we had booked specifically. I had cancelled a booking for my sister and asked for ours to be safe, but we finally found my sister' (who decided not to come) was till booked. So we have her site now, but it was a real PITA for a while. This is peak season and no booking, no site.

Next thing was lunch. I usually have a protein shake thing and found that I managed to leave the blade part of the shake machine at home....no dramas, I made it with a fork. HMV insisted that I buy a shaker thing for the van and amazingly I got a cheapy one in The Ridge.

Later, I started to cook some chooken for dinner and blew the power out. All the fuzes were ok. Power was coming through the lead (little light shining at the end of the lead), so it had to be a cut off switch. WE just could not find the damn thing anywhere. We walked around the park in pitch blackness, trying to find some fellow jayco owners. Of course they are not the only vans here, but we found a sparky with a jayco. he came and hunted and finally located our safety switch in a cupboard next to the microwave and hidden behind stuff. Turns out that when I asked HMV to tighten the screws on the ancient electric frying pan, he did more than just tighten the handles. As soon as the power was put onto the fryingpan, the switch cut off all power. Now we know where that is. I dont think I will be buying a new frying pan, but not happy Jan.

That's our three mini disasters over for this trip. I will relax a bit more once the stall is set up tomorrow. Then i will know for sure that I have everything that is needed. I am pretty confident it's all in the truck, but we will see tomorrow. Sorry for such a long story,

goodnight everyone xxx
Deborah
