Chilly down south? Do some snuggling then Dot. Sleep ins are recommended for the rest of this week for you anyway. XXXX
While I do enjoy cooking, I also have a problem with liking to eat decent, healthy food, so now that's all sorted.
We drove to Anakie, only to find that we have been allocated the wrong site (surprise surprise). I turned bitch from hell and found that the site was vacant at the time, so demanded to be put on it. I dont usually do that and I was shaking for quite a while after. So far the site that we were meant to be on, is empty and next to us. So I will not be looking forward to watching the person arrive tomorrow. Hopefully, we will be away from the caravan park when she arrives.
After siting the caravan and marking our site with the awning out and floor mat down, we left and went out for lunch. The Rubyvale pub certainly did us a great meal. He had a BELT on a very soft bun and the plate was filled with chips. I had a seafood basket that was so much yumminess, that he had to finish it off for me. Couldn't waste a $20 meal now. Dinner was a pear for me.
Now I need to get warm too. Been a very chilly wind all day and tonight, it's back to winter. So snuggle time here too.
sleep tight you lot, night night xxx

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Hope that you are still sleeping well Dot. xxxx
We had a very busy day putting up our display. We find the tables here are much smaller than at the ridge, so not all our stock can be displayed. We had a lot of discussions before we could feel ok with the display, and it took a lot of energy before we were done. We walked back to our van when I put a chooken roll to roast in the frying pan with veggies and left it to cook, while we returned to the park for a stallholders meeting.
After the long meeting, we enjoyed our chooken roast and now we are both totally exhausted. It's cold again tonight, so I need to thaw out in that warm bed.
goodnight one and all xxx

Dot, don't give the locals any ideas now will ya??? Good to see that you are doing the rest to recover thingy. Keep the sleeping going mate.
xxxx
We arrived at the big circus tent, ready to start trading, early. Only to be told that some traders did not arrive, so we could fill up their spaces...Yeehah. We took about an hour to redistribute out display and now it does look a lot better. I wish that we could afford to buy this much table space, but I really can't lose all my profits before we start. Anyway, the day started out slowly with very few sales and then at 11am we really started trading. We did almost as much today as the full 4 days at Lightning Ridge. So the next 3 days are looking very promising for us.
You can probably guess that I am totally stuffed tonight, after such a long day.
So it's goodnight from me xxx

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, that break away from home, sounds just perfect. Take it easy my dear xxxx
After unexpectedly good sales yesterday, today went downhill. It was so slow we started to ask for a volunteer to dance in the aisles or to play the bagpipes for us. We had no takers. After I added today with yesterday, the total was about the average for the first 2 days sales. so It is almost like the days have been reversed. I am not going to even guess what tomorrow's sales will be like, just too hard to predict after today.
I am totally stuffed, so goodnight one and all xxx

The locals don't need any encouragement
Those market stalls are so unpredictable, G gave them away some yrs ago, too fickle. But you get so much enjoyment of doing your arty stuff I reckon you would miss it terribly. Now time to hit the sack as well so goodnight everyone x
Goodnight Pet-els x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Thanks for your great facebook encouragement Dot. No the locals dont need a kick up the bum. This is a huge festival that usually brings busloads of people from far and wide. The crowds have just not come. Probably the bloody drought again. No money for luxuries. Enjoy your escape my dear. xxxx
By lunchtime, we finally have sold enough to have paid the rent, but nothing else. The rest of the traders are all unhappy too, but the drought is out of everyone's control. I seem to have had so many allergy issues with the filthy air that I now have a chest infection. Luckily, our gp gave us an emergency supply of antibiotics, no quack or chemist for cooee. So all is being treated, but I am just so worn out I need an early night.
so it's goodnight from me xxx

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Keep up relaxing Dot, hope all goes well with your escape. xxxx
We only had 4 sales today, so it was a very long, slow day. Thankfully, 2 of those sales were really good ones, so our final total sales for the weekend isn't too far down on previous years.
I am so tired, from battling the chest infection, that I definitely need an early night, so it's another goodnight from me xxx
